CereCore is seeking a Case Management Director of Project Management to join our team in Nashville, TN. This individual will work at one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

Overview: The Case Management (CM) Project Director is responsible for organization, project and program management, and monitoring of the successful development and implementation of all project controls for projects and programs as assigned. The position requires solid communication skills to lead project teams, as well as to interface with other departments (including IT&S), business partners, and leadership. The Project Director must be results-oriented with a demonstrated strong commitment to project execution. This individual must be able to develop relationships within the department and facilitate project management integration to address strategic business needs across the Case Management organization. The Project Director must possess strategic vision, excellent communication skills, proven facilitation skills, proven motivational capabilities, have an executive presence, and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and attaining goals.

This position sits within the Case Management Group which is responsible for clinical case management, utilization services and clinical documentation improvement. Projects are focused around process improvement, process efficiencies and automation opportunities across hospital case management. Today there are about 300 case managers in hospital facilities doing care coordination and discharge planning. The business challenge is focused on "How do we move patients through the system from triage, care, outpatient" through improvements to capacity planning and throughput. Projects are centered around this area and applying automation and doing more systematically with data and with AI.

We are seeking someone with 6+ years direct project management experience who can lead people, lead teams, lead projects and business owners, someone who understands PM methodology and has strategic thinking skills. Strong soft skills, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, decision making, conflict resolution, team building are also important skills. Additionally, someone with proven experience writing project plans and managing those plans for medium to large size projects and large scale implementations E2E.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and manages project scope, budgets, timelines, resources and quality of deliverables.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to champion change throughout the organization, incorporating lessons learned into future projects to ensure desired results.
  • Author strategic project documents such as Project or Program Charters, Assessments, Education and/or Communication plans, detailed project plans, and provides project updates to business owners and leaders at multiple levels within the CM organization.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves project issues; manages project/program deliverables and mitigates project risks.
  • Coordinates, facilitates and manages Rapid Design Sessions for various business units within the CM organization.
  • Works with AVP Project Management to adjust CM project management strategies to respond to changing business needs.
  • Prioritizes CM project management work based upon the needs of the business and in accordance and alignment with CM organization strategy.
  • Proactively manages the deliverables and change management processes for assigned projects.
  • Builds and maintains strong, effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders throughout the CM organization
  • Identifies the learning and development needs for the CM project team and works with CM central education team to prioritize education development
  • Ensures standardization and consistency across projects.
  • Communicates timely and effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Facilitates decision-making that is required for progress on projects/programs.
  • Develops a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Position Requirements:
  • 5-7 years project management experience managing multiple projects to completion, preferably in healthcare operations or systems-oriented environments
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
  • Excellent facilitation skills required
  • Experience with large-scale system implementations preferred
  • HCA and HCA-based systems knowledge preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Executive level interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a highly matrix environment is a must
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
