Our client, a Wealth Management Firm, is looking for:Corporate Action AnalystRemote until further noticeLong Term ContractThe Corporate Actions Announcement Utilitys SME is a pivotal role in the FSI organization. The Corporate Actions department is fast-paced, and the ability to multi-task is a must. Clients require timely & accurate information, especially in the Voluntary space, where the risk of financial exposure is abundant. An Announcement Utility SME must be proactive in all aspects of their responsibilities - The slightest delay in distributing information or mistakes within the data of an event exposes the client and the firm to serious financial risk. In addition to this, SME's should have an understanding of the industry and regulatory rules concerning Corporate Actions.Job SpecificsAnalyzing, verifying and narrating corporate action and dividend announcements with multiple sources including, but not limited to DTCC, GCA (global corporate actions), company websites, Bloomberg, Euroclear and Swift Messages received from global custodian banks . This will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the firms data it provides to clients. You will have significant interaction with the operations staff globally as the announcement utility has similar roles in all regions.The ability to manage and ensure quality output of any offshore processes they are responsible for, which includes managing work not handled efficiently to then further educate the offshore staff. Continuous improvement to existing processes is a key focus for the team. Improving the current state of processes will form a key part of the success of the role.Personal Traits/Strengths required for roleAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesThe ability to handle problem solving.Work in a team environmentGood oral and communication skillsOrganization skills a mustKnowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) mandatoryDaily duties will include:Updating and maintaining various spreadsheets for daily use.Validating daily output from offshore processes.Validating various events for accuracy and completeness.Sharing best practices with team members globally.Interaction with operations and processing staffs globally.Interaction with depositories, custodians, and agent banks globally.Overall continuous clean-up of internal systems, including Epic, NnR, and KAE.Key Targets & Objectives of RolesClient (adding value to clients) / People (recruiting/coaching people/valuing diversity) / Economic (achieving financial results) Functional / Technical (advancing technical expertise)CLIENT - Building and maintaining client relationships. Communicate and escalate issues / progress clearly, concisely and on a timely basis and manage expectations accordingly. Ensure all queries/resolution of issues generated by clients/field staff are resolved in a timely manner.To become cross-trained in all aspects of the corporate actions to ensure coverage of all functions when required.Good communication skills are required, as the candidate will liaise daily with internal, external clients and agents.PEOPLE/TEAM - Attracting, retaining and developing high caliber people.
