Our client, a leader in their industry, needs a DevOps Software Engineer to join their team in a long term, fully remote contract role.

Responsibilities of the DevOps Software Engineer:
  • Maintain AWS CI/CD Pipelines, QA Automation
  • Design and implement CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Design, evaluate, implement, document, and provide instruction on DevOps pipeline implementation and best practices
  • Provide support and fine-tune a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects across other product teams
  • Gather, analyze, and review system requirements/enhancements, document specifications, and develop software solutions
  • Monitor and manage cloud deployments, including the implementation of auto-scaling and cost-management techniques
  • Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans
  • Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs
  • Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation
  • Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing

Requirements of the DevOps Software Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
  • 5-7 years experience required in an IT field with at least 3 years in a DevOps role
  • Experience implementing Ping and Sailpoint Applications
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Large IT security, systems software design, and development experience
  • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems
  • Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution
