DescriptionRelationship Manager/Client Manager, Healthcare – TN/Nashville, TNThe GCP US Large Market Client Group manages strategic corporate payment relationships with clients, including many multi-billion healthcare organizations. This Manager will be responsible for the overall growth, retention and deepening of client relationships within large market strategic healthcare accounts. The manager will provide Clients with strategic and proactive consultation on a variety of business objectives and payment solutions as well as ensure strong collaboration and prioritization and of key initiatives.Job Responsibilities:Interface with various partners across American Express to develop and implement customized and strategic account plans

Serve as payments expert for all corporate payments solutions within portfolio to deliver on the GCS value proposition

Engage, develop and strongly influence mobilizers across multiple levels within the client’s organization to demonstrate American Express’ differentiated value and achieve profitability objectives

Attend earnings calls, review annual financial reports, 10-K, and other financial tools to help identify and analyze client growth opportunities

Achieve portfolio growth and retention targets

Influence and innovate to overcome complex client barriers, resolve escalated issues, and manage internal stakeholders

Lead development of proposals and pricing for client renewal and expansion, negotiate client contracts, and oversee implementation of solutions

Identify portfolio growth opportunities and deliver on plan to achieve, collaborating with internal resources to maximize/expand supplier network and spend growth

Proactively provide expertise on policies, benchmarking, and recommendations to optimize programs, reduce costs and drive efficiencies for clients

Identify and develop relationships with decision-makers within the healthcare organizations to influence program management and growth

Manage a portfolio of accounts; develop engagement strategy for entire base under management.

Analyze individual company spend profile, validate against benchmarks and develop account expansion strategy.

Conduct periodic strategic account reviews with decision makers and key stakeholders within each company.

Seeks to understand clients' opinions, positions, and emotions to solve problems and negotiate mutually-beneficial outcomes

Outstanding business acumen and strategic perspective

Exceptional relationship building experience, including the ability to develop relationships with senior executives and leadership teams across the organization

Proven ability to influence others

Strong understanding of treasury and procurement concepts and related technologies (P2P Platforms)

Experience Managing External Client Relationships; Particularly Larger, More Complex Companies

Entrepreneurial spirit with a solid ability to acquire knowledge and present products and financials

Strong problem solving and analysis abilities

Excellent written & verbal communications skills and presentation skills

Ability to think creatively, approach sales enablement from new angles, and manage up, down and across the organization

Strong financial and analytical background

Results-oriented. Attention to detail and innovative thought leader

Bachelor’s Degree

Individual Qualifications/Requirements:Experience managing growth portfolios consisting of large, strategic clients

Experience providing account servicing and management

Prior knowledge in the strategic sales process of growing an existing client base

Sell with integrity, in alignment with compliance and internal partner business requirements

Experience with CRM tools preferred

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Virtual Office Experience preferred
