DescriptionRobert Half Technology has an exciting opportunity for a PC Technician who is highly capable of solving complex technical issues and clearly communicating with technical and non-technical users in an understandable way. If you are a self-starter and enjoy solving problems and working in a positive, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you! As the PC Technician, you will work in the Nashville, Tennessee, region. This role is a short-term temporary opportunity.Major responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot and repair printers

Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards

Record daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions or installation activities

Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish a variety of computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment

Take down, box and ship out of date equipment

Image and prepare new computers

Transfer data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

Help test functionality and support end users

Provide frequent and effective communication with ticket submitters

Arrange repairs with the suitable vendors

Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out

Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases

Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site

Requirements

Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets

1 - 3 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

PC desktop/workstations experience desired

Skilled in network design and implementation strategies

Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

CompTIA A+ certification required

Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
