We Are Hiring: Performance Improvement Specialist - Total Quality Management 003 - Full-Time,Day - St Thomas Midtown Hospital - Nashville,TN

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm. Some remote potential locally and travel across the Middle TN region.

The Performance Improvement Specialist will be supporting 100+ clinics across Middle Tennessee within a variety of different specialties. Candidates should be willing to travel locally around Middle TN and will be spending a lot of time in the clinics initially setting up proper PI infrastructure and culture. The Performance Improvement Specialist should possess the ability to build strong multidisciplinary team relationships with nurses, medical assistants, physicians, mid levels, etc. Ideal candidates will possess 1 year of health care experience and 3 years of relative experience - 5 years of experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should also possess industrial engineering experience and have LEAN/Six sigma training. Interested candidates please apply! What You Will Do: Facilitate with the development and definition of ideas that will improve the organization.
  • Evaluate departments and services in an effort to define best practices and encourage positive and progressive change. Remain current on healthcare trends and advances.
  • Define financial, operational, and clinical data necessary for evaluating change initiatives. Identify steps, tools, and training necessary to implement a process or structural change.
  • Oversee functioning of assigned projects/project teams and for collaborating with executive leadership to access necessary resources. Manage resources, process and quality assurance of projects within scope of responsibility.
  • Develop and update the ongoing management plan. Monitor and ensure that detailed project plans, reporting mechanisms, issue resolution processes, and communications are timely and meet quality guidelines.

What You Will Need: Education:
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
  • 3 years of experience preferred.
