Description of Duties (primary & secondary) % of Total Work Effort:
- Leadership and Communication Management: Ensure effective communication throughout the entire project structure(s); Maintain project team and stakeholder motivation; Direct the timeline throughout project lifecycle; Providing up-to-date and transparent communication - 25%
- Planning: Developing plans to accomplish project goals; setting the tone, schedule, and scope of the project; includes resource management, budget development, financial estimating, time estimates, and analysing risks - 25%
- Organization: Responsible for organizing the structure of the project plan; utilizing defined processes and tools / templates; using Planview - 25%
- Implementation Management and Management Metrics: Track project s progress; Analyse and report results; Continue review of project operations in order to increase efficiencies; Minimize potential risks as the project moves forward - 25%
- The Project Manager drives projects from concept to reality.
- The project manager (PM) is responsible for the successful delivery of small to large scale complex projects throughout the project lifecycle including discovery, initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing phases.
- The PM creates and manages systems for tracking projects and associated deliverables, collects data and analyses results, and works closely with project team to manage various programmatic and project processes.
- The PM is responsible for communicating and collaborating with Executive Sponsors, Business Owners, Information Technology, Field Operations, and external vendors to facilitate and ensure successful implementations.
- This includes representation at the PSC and OSC meetings.
- PM closely partners with Information Technology and/or Program leaders to develop and oversee project costs, deliverables, timelines, and resources to ensure that they meet the budget, schedule, and quality requirements of the project.
- The PM provides day-to-day management of the project team.
- The PM monitors risks and issues and escalates appropriate risks/issues.
- Develops or updates plans for projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
- Determines time, cost, resources, and materials needed to complete the project.
- Establishes and manages stakeholder expectations and communications.
- Identifies and manages project dependencies.
- Manages project change control process.
- Manages project execution to adhere to schedule.
- Monitors and reports on project schedule including critical path.
- Monitors and tracks project milestones and deliverables.
- Monitors project activities including work breakdown structure.
- Manages project execution to adhere to defined scope.
- Reports project status to project stakeholders and Communicates and escalate project issues to appropriate project stakeholders.
- Bachelors or equivalent practical experience
