- You will be responsible for development, RSpec and unit testing to be configured with the iLab tech stack.
- Implementing scalable Web Services.
- Writing performance, maintainable code that is easy to read and well-documented.
- Writing automated tests to thoroughly validate the correctness of code.
- Designs and develops products, components, processes, and systems using broad engineering concepts and research techniques.
- Solves complex and high-impact design and development problems including customer application issues of varying scope and complexity.
- Each day will begin with a virtual scrum to discuss previous day’s accomplishment, blockers, etc., as well as, given day’s expectations.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar subject area or equivalent.
- Demonstrate capability and experience with Ruby on Rails (ideally with an enterprise SaaS product)
- Solid understanding of Ruby programming language.
- Familiar with gems, Rails web services, and OOP background.
- Experience with basic meta-programming.
- Experience with applications that have continuous deployment/integration testing/release processes.
- Experience performing code reviews, carrying out coding standards, and managing technical resources within project schedules
- Experience working with GIT.
- Experience with Ruby Make (Rake) utility.
- Comfortable using Linux terminal to accomplish basic tasks like basic navigation, ssh and grep/awk.
- SQL database experience/knowledge.
