You will have the opportunity to be part of a team of passionate engineers who are fueled by serving customers and have a penchant to constantly push the innovation bar.Career Level - IC3ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. At a high level, the work will involve developing features on Oracle Cloud, which includes but may not be limited to the following:
Help drive the next-generation Data platform cloud services using Oracle standard tools, technology, and development practices.
Work with development, product, operations, security, and compliance teams within the data platform and wider Oracle organizations to solve interesting technical challenges.
Solve interesting technical challenges by self-driving, defining, designing, deploying, and troubleshooting key Oracle Cloud services, platforms, and infrastructure
Working with architects to ensure newer capabilities are built by applying the right design principles.
Drive reliability, scalability, resilience, security, compliance, performance, and automation.
Working with remote and geographically distributed teams to enable building the right products, using the right building blocks, and making them consumable by other products easily
Be very technically hands-on and own/drive key end-to-end services⠀
Your Qualifications
A BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent
A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience with at least 2 years in cloud technologies
Strong technical understanding in building scalable, high-performance distributed microservices/systems.
Experience in Java, Python, Bash, Docker (deployment, management, and configuration), Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud infrastructure APIs, REST APIs
Familiarity in Data Integration domain, Airflow, Spark technologies will be a plus
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Familiarity with the Agile process will be an added advantage
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to different audiences.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
Understand networking, and TCP/IP fundamentals and services such as DNS, HTTP, etc.
Using CI/CD scripting tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
System-level knowledge of Linux, creating and executing scripts
Monitoring and Instrumentation; Experience in building metrics, KPIs, SLOs, and monitoring dashboards (Grafana) for a system

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
