Sr. Project Manager, (Neonatology)1911989Job SummaryProvides operational leadership for the pediatrics department CMMI and other projects related to the opioid initiatives: establishing reporting and data collection systems, ensuring deliverables are met, directing, implementing, managing project budget, securing funding, and measuring all outcomes against commitments. In collaboration with leadership in the Pediatrics Department, the Addictionology Department of the Psychiatric Hospital, leadership at the three state MCOs, and the TDOH, manages hospital, clinic and community relationships to ensure quality service delivery to comply with project requirements. In coordination with the community relations and governmental relations divisions of VUMC, establishes and maintains community relationships to enable the care navigators to access services for patients. Prepares and manages operating and capital expenditures budgets. Manages project personnel. Establishes and manages governance committees for funded projects.Key Responsibilities

Establishes an environment of trust, fairness, consistency and confidentiality with team members and with other internal and external customers consistent with VUMC Credo.

Collaborates with department heads and executives of the various entities within VUMC to determine product and service needs. Develops and implements programs and operating procedures to assure those needs are met.

Initiate changes in, or develop, new policies, procedures, and/or methods.

Analyze and evaluate ongoing programs to identify areas in need of adjustments or improvements.

Provides briefings and presentations to senior leadership on the state of funded projects.

Create a work environment to ensure the most effective and productive utilization of human resources in the department.

Standardize services, processes, resources, and practice to improve efficiency.

Ensure the most effective operations of the department through program development, process improvement, and coordination/integration of processes with other departments.

Work collaboratively with other departments/service across the enterprise to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Shares knowledge across multiple disciplines as relevant to funded projects. Represents needs and interests of direct reports to all levels of the leadership structure. Communicates effectively orally and in writing.

Participates in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and implement quality plans to meet goals. Promotes evidence-based changes to project. Uses appropriate processes and models to monitor and proactively manage risks.
