How will you make an impact?The Sr. Staff Project Manager (PM) will provide end to end project, program, and portfolio management leadership (concept to completion) through the BioProduction Strategic Project and Portfolio Management Team, fully owning the mechanisms which ensure successful delivery. The PM will lead cross-functional projects, programs, and portfolios with diverse internal teams ranging from Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Customer Excellence to meet business objectives and metrics. In this role, the PM will partner with Executive Sponsors to drive the execution of key strategic initiatives that span across BioProduction. The successful PM will set-up and supervise the overall schedule, communicate decision needs, control the budget, and monitor and report the progress of phases and achievement of milestones.What will you do?Coordinate and implement raw material supply changes across the Biologics and Chemicals Division which will improve the Division’s supply assurance and enable short- and long-term growth

Coordinate with team members to identify, document and resolve resource constraints

Work with key stakeholders to identify and develop sourcing solutions that provide better value and better risk management for the business

Own end to end success of the project/program/portfolio, ensuring accountability, execution of timelines, and continuous change management to deliver on-time results

Ensure that all project/program/portfolios are delivered within scope and budget

Develop project/program/portfolio scopes and objectives, involving all relevant cross-functional stakeholders and ensure resource availability and allocation

Identify key issues and risks, recommend options which are supported by a clear fact set and analysis, facilitate and negotiate individual and team decisions. Requires an understanding of stakeholder motivations, , impacts to the organization, and when to escalate issues to higher levels of management

Develop detailed project/program/portfolio plans to track progress and action logs

Lead project/program/portfolio execution to ensure standard Project Management best practices are deployed

Measure project/program/portfolio performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques

Create and maintain comprehensive project/program/portfolio documentation and prepare reports for executive leadership

Experience with challenging the current thought process of staff and status quo of business processes

Effectively influence all levels of stakeholders in highly matrixed organization

How will you get here?A minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree OR Associates Degree with 10+ years of project/program management experience.

7+ years of project/program management and team leadership experience with proven track record in successfully leading projects/programs from start to finish

Experience leading large complex projects/programs with minimal direction spanning over 12+ months

Previous experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Category Management preferred

Experience managing project/program/portfolio budgets (CAPEX & OPEX) over $3M

Experience managing projects/program/portfolios that are scoped to return $5M + of benefit (NPV, Revenue Generation, Savings etc.) back to the business

Ability to interface with varied audiences including senior leadership, influence, and to work effectively in a matrix environment across a large number of functional areas (product management, R&D, finance, commercial, operations, HR, etc.)

Ability to manage multiple global project/program/portfolios (3+) and interface effectively with team members and across multiple departments, regions, and countries

Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

Relevant experience with Lean / Six Sigma experience in an industrial environment is beneficial

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAbility to work with and present at all levels of the organization, including Sr. VP/GM’s

Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including PMI Body of Knowledge

Effective oral and written communication and executive presentation skills

Process oriented and structured working style and capable of handling multiple project/program/portfolios simultaneously

Well organized with the ability to work under pressure and deliver work to highest standard

Results-oriented team player who can build strong professional relationships

Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, utilizing a disciplined approach to critical thought

Strong interpersonal and organizational influence skills

Strong attention to detail, time management

Process Improvement (PPI / Six-Sigma) experience preferred
