We Are HiringFloat PoolCST - Operating RoomWill float between Ascension Saint Thomas and Ascension River ParkWhat You Will DoFacilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Hand required/requested instruments and supply to surgeon during surgery.
Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instruments counts throughout procedures.
What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Per TCA68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have at least 18 months experience as a surg technologist in the 3 years preceding May21,2007; or began the appropriate training to be a surg technologist prior to May21, 2007, & completed by May21,2010.
Education:High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
