Vice President, Risk Operations

Tennessee, Nashville, 37201 Nashville USA

Vacancy expired!

What We Need FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Vice President of Risk Operations within our Shared Services division. This position falls under our North America Fuel line of business and is located in Nashville. In this role, you will you will serve as the Risk Operations leader that leads a team of over 50 associates and serves ALL US lines of business. You will report directly to SVP of US Risk and regularly collaborate with departmental stakeholders. How We Work As a Vice President of Risk Operations, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing:

  • Assigned workspace in Nashville
  • Company-issued equipment
Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Risk/Fraud Operations: You will own all aspects of transaction fraud monitoring, disputes and chargebacks. The metrics you will be held accountable for include (i) speed of customer resolution (ii) chargeback rate (iii) transaction fraud loss rate and (iv) employee engagement
  • Collections: You will be responsible for all aspects of Collections and Recovery, including managing both our internal collections team and outsourced collection agencies as well as legal collections. The metrics you will be held accountable for include (i) collections rate (ii) recovery rate and (iii) employee engagement

If you were here the last 6 months here are some of the things you would have worked on and delivered:
  • Automation: We have a lot of manual processes, little documentation and all the knowledge in the heads of some of your talented team members. You would have worked to document the process using processing mapping tools, you would have identified opportunities for improvement, crafted requirements and then worked to deliver automation solutions that ultimately led to either an enhanced customer experience or improved operational efficiency.
  • Collections: Our internal collection team don't have the right tools and technology to help drive an increase in collections. You would have worked to build the business case for new tools and technology by identifying and documenting the gaps, being clear on the "promise of value" or ROI, evaluating vendors, partnering cross functionally to socialize and get buy in and then, if approved, deliver it for your team.
  • Analysis: Today, the Operations teams produce few metrics and so you would have worked to create scalable data capabilities that allow you to track and report on key operational metrics. You might have also written SQL code or crunched data in excel to report on everything from # of calls on chargebacks to collection rates.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 15+ years of experience for a Card Issuer. We are looking for someone who has a blend of Risk Operations experience (Underwriting, Chargebacks etc.) and Collections experience.
  • 15+ years of track record of scaling operations and delivering meaningful process improvements. In this role you need to be able to "get into the details" but also "think strategically" and that combination has allowed you to deliver things like technology enhancements or implemented RPA that drove scale in your area.
  • 15+ years of analytical experience. You run your business in part using metrics and you are data driven so you can write some basic SQL and are definitely strong in excel.
  • Master's Degree Preferred
Benefits & Perks
  • Medical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1 st month after hire
  • Automatic enrollment into our 401k plan (subject to eligibility requirements)
  • Virtual fitness classes offered company-wide
