WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY PROFESSIONAL
Our rapidly growing service company is looking to hire a polished, motivated individual to join our team. We receive, store, deliver and install furniture, artwork and decorative items for interior designers and their clients as well as other clientele such as retailers and contractors. These items are often unique and of high value which requires exceptional care and handling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Load and unload vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly.
Install items in residence/store following direction of designer.
Wraps furniture/items with blankets to prevent damage.
Pad, stack, and secure items in position on truck to prevent damage during delivery.
Safely drive box truck while abiding by all laws and regulations.
Assist in cleaning and maintaining truck, tools, and equipment.
Collect or pick up empty containers/packing materials and properly dispose of these items.
Must know, use, and follow all safety regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
18 years old or older. Willing to learn and work hard. Clean driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to high and/or low temperatures; wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles.
