Technical Business Analyst

Position Description CGI, a leader in providing IT and software services, is seeking a talented Business Analyst in our Nashville office to join our dynamic team. The position requires an energetic professional who is a self-starter with strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. You will be instrumental in helping the CGI team deliver exceptional quality service to our clients. Your attention to detail and positive attitude will be highly valued in this high profile position. Your future duties and responsibilities• Participate in and/or lead requirements workshops sessions to identify business needs and requirements• Perform requirements analysis and write Business Requirement documents• Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management• Document current business processes, business flows, rules and artifacts, and propose changes/updates to business processes, business flows, rules and artifacts.• Produce detailed requirements documents, including use cases and requirements traceability matrices• Participate in Unit/System Testing, User Acceptance testing & Quality Assurance• Follow up with business users on Post Production deployment verification.• Excellent client interaction skills in support of formal requirements gathering sessions, as well as informal requirements sessions (e.g., one-on-one potentially with senior level staff)• Prototype user interface designs• Lead user testing sessions• Meet tight project deadlines according to release schedules• Manage and escalate issues/risks for resolution• Ability to evaluate environmental changes to determine impact to clients' needs• Provide production support for functionality in production• Coordinate and manage client support requests/tickets through entire lifecycle, working closely with development/testing team and client business team to successfully deliver on a weekly basis.• Prepare status report and conduct weekly status meeting with client business team• Ability to independently address ad hoc requests from client business team

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Candidate must have Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience in Information Systems or related field.• Two to four years previous BA experience.• Strong analytical and organizational skills.• Candidate must have the ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and speak in business terms.• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.• Experience with office productivity tools (e.g., Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and groupware applications (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint).• Experience in writing simple SQL queries• Experience with agile application management tool - JIRA• Excellent client interaction skills.• Experience with unit and system testing.
