Position Title: Manager, Supply ChainReports to: Director, Supply ChainLocation: Shelbyville, TN, Maryville, TN or Atlanta, GAJob Summary:This position is responsible for overseeing new product development, both promotional and innovation, as well as display development functions for the all Writing domestic facilities. More specifically, this position will have responsibility for Maryville, POC, and Mexicali in Supply Chain new product delivery to market for all new and promotional SKUs, which annually represents +600 new SKUs supporting +$300M invoice sales. This includes managing the team responsible for new product development through timeline development, planning capacity, inventory and staffing for our promotional planning facility, and partnering with other in-network facilities to execute first time right. Key measurements for success include on time, in full, at cost delivery of new products to market, efficient equipment and space utilization, driving capital purchases within appropriate lead times and defining plant level absorption goals.In addition to strategic management of supply chain operations, the position will interface daily with operations, marketing, supply chain leadership, finance, sales, trade and brand marketing teams, packaging engineering, supply chain center of excellence, and demand planning.This person will be the focal point of strategic domestic supply chain operations and cross functional interaction in the domestic supply chain operations between marketing, demand planning, operations, finance, data management, project management and other Newell Brands facilities. This position requires managing dynamic circumstances and having the ability to make sound independent decisions based on multiple considerations. Must interface effectively with wide range of personnel under all situations and be both directive and responsive. It is essential to manage effectively at multiple levels of the organization. Communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning skills, personal organization skills and ability to make rational decisions based on the data are important. This person has the ability to work extended hours when necessary, roughly 30% travel required including some international travel.Job Duties:

Monthly responsibilities include defining inventory levels, strategic production plans for operations and providing line of sight to long lead time component purchases

Direct management of planning staff members to manage both short and long term projects. This includes day-to-day coaching, career development, performance management and other related functions.

Actively develop and manage process to review, analyze, and action top global platform capacities, including prebuild and capacity management to support global growth and market needs.

Work cross functionally with Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and other project team members to introduce new products/programs through domestic manufacturing environments on-time with appropriate inventory positioning and capacity to sustainably service customers for full product life cycle.

Budget responsibilities include departmental staffing, inventory walks and future capital plans for each facility.

Work within department and division to improve SAP utilization, reduce transactional load and increase utilization of systems.

Drive working capital projects through inventory management utilizing existing tools and driving the creation of new tools when necessary

Exemplify and drive Newell Brand’s culture within operations.
