job descriptionMaterial handlerAre you looking for a full-time/long term opportunity with a great company? Are you passionate about keeping a warehouse on schedule? Do you have previous forklift experience? If so, we have the perfect position for you! We are currently hiring forklift operators for a fast-paced warehouse in Smyrna, TN.ResponsibilitiesWill be working in warehouse driving sit down/reach truck forklift. Will require 2 previous forklift years experience within the last 5 years. Will operate forklift 50% of the time and the remainder will be picking orders, but nothing over 35 lbs unless a team lift. Will also operate a scan gun. 1st shift is Receiving and 2nd shift is Shipping. All employees are required to wear steel toe boots; and client will provide hard hats, vest and safety glasses. All employees must be able to read and write English and have basic math skills. Requires background check and 10 panel inhouse drug screen. (Can start talent pending background results). Must be able to stand, stoop, bend and twist for entire shift. Work Schedule is Tuesday through Sunday.The essential functions of this role include:
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
