DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Federal-Mogul has recently been acquired by Tenneco. The company’s broader aftermarket product coverage, stronger distribution channels, and enhanced channel development will strengthen its position in established and high growth markets (China and India), and drive success through new mobility models and capturing evolving e-commerce opportunities.We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor (willing to work any shift) to join our Distribution Center in Smyrna, TN. The Operations Supervisor will direct and manage the workflow in their assigned department through a staff of leads, coordinators, hourly and temporary associates. This person will be responsible for establishing daily production goals for their assigned department and monitoring all quality standards to improve performance while maintaining service to our customers. This person will report to the Operations Manager and will become a valued member of our distribution team therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication throughout.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the design and development of distribution processes to include quality, safety, cost reduction and operations to support process improvement.

Participate in root cause analysis to identify problems and recommend changes.

Monitor production standards and develops programs to improve productivity.

Assist in training employees on distribution processes and equipment.

Assist the Operations Manager in problem resolution relating to production, standard operating procedures, safety and quality.

Evaluate hourly associates and provides feedback regarding job performance and expectations in a timely manner.

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.

Prior multi-shift distribution center experience.

Technical skills in logistics processes and methods to include flow, cost efficiency, engineered standards, equipment, safety and quality.

Must have working knowledge of SAP/WMS and understand workflow processes and procedures.

Ability to lead and foster a team environment, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability and willingness to work alternative shifts as required.

Ability to interface with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
