Work Shift: 3RD SHIFT (United States of America)This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Demonstrate ability to work well with team members at all levels. Ability to communicate well with team members at all levels. Must also set an example for others in all policy areas from hygiene to safety. Must participate in maintenance testing in several of these areas: Maintenance Fundamentals, Welding, Refrigeration, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Boiler Control, Machine Tool Practices, Electrical Systems, Electronics, Robotics, Plumbing, Power Transmissions, and Mechanical Skills. Responsible for performing repairs, preventative maintenance of all plant equipment. Must be organized and detailed-oriented. Must be able to perform essential job functions to standard within 20 days. Occasional lifting may be required. Good math skills (high school level). Must observe & comply with hygiene and safety procedures at all times. Must be able to work in a cold & wet environment. Must be able to work flexible hours and some weekends. Must be able to read and write. Member of the Hazmat Team. Two (2) years of verifiable mechanical experience, industrial maintenance experience, or industrial maintenance degree required.If an applicant meets Tyson’s minimum requirements for consideration of 6 months employment out of the last 12, they may be contacted for an interview.
