Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future!TES Manager (1903238) – Sparta, TNWhere the Chemistry HappensThe Sparta, TN site is a manufacturer of engineering plastic, polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate, and polybutylene terephthalate, used in the transportation, consumer, industrial, and construction industries.In this role, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance department and the capital process for the Sparta, TN site. Six Sigma Green Belt is required, Black Belt preferred (or willing to obtain Green Belt in first 24 months of job).You will be an active member of the site leadership team who is seen as a positive and optimistic role model, holding employees accountable, and recognizing and rewarding for the right behaviors and results. You will demonstrate active listening skills, effective presentation skills, and good verbal and writing skills. Additionally, you will strive to bulid teams to solve problems.Formula for Success

Leveraging your education (technical field preferred) and your experience in maintenance, technical, and/or engineering functions, you will lead the maintenance department for the Sparta, TN site, including driving reliability, EHS, and efficiency metrics.

Demonstrating your experience in the management of maintenance, technical, and/or engineering functions and a broad managerial understanding of finance and human resource fields, you will develop and implement capital projects for the site including managing the capital budget for the site.

Setting clear goals and vision for the team, you will effectively lead resources assigned to the Maintenance, E&I, Capital Management, I/S, and General Administrative to achieve Sparta goals for EHS, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and growth.

As a subject matter expert, you will develop Sparta’s core technology expertise in E&I, Maintenance, and Capital Management.

Utilizing your solid Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement expertise and application, you will drive process improvements and improved operating discipline through application of Six Sigma, Lean, and employee involvement principles.

Your effective communication skills will serve you well as you partner with HR, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Finance, EHS, and Quality to meet Sparta’s goals.

Having a good understanding of business fundamentals and using relevant metrics to drive results, you will coordinate and contribute to the establishment of operating objectives, short and long-term plans, operating budgets, strategies, and policies.

Your ability to coach and empower employees to solve problems will be essential as you develop and implement effective technical skills training for the Maintenance group.
