ONE ACRE CAFÉ NEEDS A VERY SPECIAL CHEF (Johnson City)

Tennessee, Tri-cities 00000 Tri-cities USA

Vacancy expired!

One Acre Café, a faith-based, non-profit Community Café in Johnson City, TN is seeking a Chef with a huge heart for helping others. One Acre Cafe opened in 2013 and was founded under the concepts of the One World Everybody Eats Foundation. Our vision is to see all our community members dining together and supporting one another in building the strength and health of our community.

The Chef at One Acre Cafe is responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen and

back of house areas for an 80+ seated restaurant.

Thanks to our previous chefs, we are known for our delicious and nutritious food, so we are looking for someone that has great cooking skills. Also, since our staff consists primarily of volunteers, you will need to be strong in your supervisory, customer service and team building abilities, and able to train new volunteers "on the job". Creativity and flexibility in our kitchen are important, because our menu changes daily based on availability of ingredients and

donations from the community.

Our kitchen is unique because we are a small non-profit, whose mission is to feed everyone regardless of their ability to pay. There will be many exciting challenges and opportunities in this position and the daily rewards of helping others will be endless. Most importantly, to be successful at this cafe, you will need a positive work attitude and a huge heart for service with an abundance of grace and humility.

One Acre Café offers a great work environment with a regular week day schedule and only the occasional evening or Saturday required. We also offer paid time off and paid holidays!

So, if you are eager to help the community, and looking for a place that you can have some stability with a regular schedule, plus creative freedom in your cooking while helping others, EMAIL YOUR RESUME to Michelle.
