OverviewQuantiTech is currently looking for an entry level to a Journeyman level Hypersonic Analyst/Test Engineer to support our customer at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. ResponsibilitiesExperience in Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and transition to Operational Test and Evaluation. Knowledge of, and experience in the Nations DoD and Commercial Hypersonic test facilities and flight test/ranges are a plus.Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Work with senior engineers to provide technical expertise on DT&E matters to the program's Test Manager (TM) as appropriate.

Conduct DT&E activities as coordinated with the program's TM.

Assist the TM in providing oversight of program contractors and in reaching technically informed and objective judgments about contractor DT&E results.

As required, work collaboratively to help the TM to establish, coordinate, and oversee a confederation of government DT&E organizations that plan and conduct DT&E according to the integrated testing strategy in the Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES) and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).

Assist with planning, managing, and execution of government DT&E, Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E), and integrated testing according to the TEMP and other approved test strategies and plans.

Participate in Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as they are being formed and assist Test Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as required.

Support the development and coordination of DT&E-related documentation to include briefings, planning and strategies for T&E, the TEMP, and the ITT Charter.

Hypersonics Analyst; must possess the knowledge and skills to understand and apply a variety of analytical techniques to formulate and solve problems; plan for future technologies; and define requirements for systems and test programs in the hypersonic wind tunnels, arcjets, and high enthalpy facilities.

Provide evaluation and analysis in support of hypersonic acquisition programs from concept, through ground test and flight.

Assist in defining requirements, assessing test conditions, addressing test cell /test article interactions, evaluating test article performance, and formally documenting the results.

Assist in generating analysis objectives, success criteria, and measures of performance which support the evaluation of aerospace weapon systems; participate in test planning; and support all phases of testing (occasional shift-work required during testing).

Support analysis-technique development efforts to advance the state-of-the-art analysis capabilities.

Specific knowledge and expertise are desired, particularly in one or more of the fields of air vehicle stability and control; aircraft performance; propulsion-inlet integration; hypersonic aerodynamics; statistical methods and statistically defensible analysis techniques

Experience with aerothermal analysis, computational heat transfer, subsonic/transonic/supersonic aerodynamics, and optical diagnostic techniques is desired.

Qualifications

Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level.

Entry Level position: Requires a Bachelor's degree in the applicable discipline.

Journeyman positions : 3 years experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the applicable discipline.

Degrees in physics or engineering from an accredited school.

Able to interface and communicate well with Government counterparts and AEDC customers on both technical and programmatic levels.

Up to 25% Travel - anticipated to support and participate in briefings and reviews.

Occasional travel to observe testing activities is also possible and/or to intermittently participate as a test team member at test ranges.

Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.

Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers.

Utilizes resources effectively to accomplish mission.

Be willing to support occasional shift-work (nights/weekends) during testing.

Focused adherence to safety and security requirements in an office-based environment.

Proficiency in scientific computing and programming (Python, Matlab, C, etc)
