JOB SUMMARY : The District Inventory / Asset Specialist (DIAS) is responsible for assisting with the oversight of all assets and inventory for their assigned In Home service district.

The DIAS is responsible for the overall receipts, disbursements and recovery of unit inventory and its associated tracking and bookkeeping.

This person is also responsible for disbursing, monitoring, tracking, transporting, retrieving and general control of company assets relative to the In Home service operation.

These assets include : service vans, computing and communications devices, tools, equipment, refrigerants, supplies and parts inventory.

JOB SCOPE : Asset and Inventory control for service unit that averages $5 million in inventory and 100-200 associates

SUPERVISION : Direct : NA Indirect : No direct or indirect supervision of other associates.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

Serves as the business unit's initial point of contact for the utilization of advanced inventory management systems. Utilizes the Reverse Flow System to process surplus inventory returns and determine proper

Assists with the ordering and distribution of fuel service cards, purchase & travel cards, insurance cards, fleet service cards, tolling transponders etc.

and monitors usage and compliance, and maintains associates lists or databases

Coordinates the transportation of unit inventory between service units and technicians, including driving a route for inventory recovery as needed as well as the staging and recovery of surplus inventory, including working with both internal and external property managers to ensure the protection and control thereof

Communicates with field management team on matters of inventory control discipline and process compliance to let them know when there are overages or shortages and to ensure that techs that are not on process are coached in an effort to get back on track and improve

Enforces company standards of inventory control, drives process improvements and assists technicians in : recovering surplus inventory, maintaining proper truck stock levels, effective truck organization, and bin locations

Works with inventory service providers during annual count, offers expertise on inventory identification and reconciles listings of truck stock inventory with physical inventory on hand and makes systemic changes as needed

Monitors and ensures title, licensing, branding, maintenance and repair of all vehicles is completed according to regulation, specifications or company standards and coordinates the ordering, distribution, recovery and warehousing of technical tools and equipment, including refrigerant recovery and associated regulatory documentation.

Coordinates fleet assignments on behalf of the service unit, facilitates vehicle changes, monitors disposition of spare vehicles, and maintains master list or database of vehicles assigned to the business unit .

Controls and safeguards all master and duplicate keys for service vans

Orders, receives, distributes and controls company cell phones & peripherals for service technicians; maintains associated master cell phone list for the service unit and databases that contain those records

Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS :

Ability to use common computer applications, web based systems and Microsoft Office products- Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to drive legally, responsibly and safely.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, solve problems and follow directions.

Ability to apply appropriate use of personal protective equipment (i.e. back belt, safety glasses)

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in non-air conditioned environment, where applicable

Ability to speak, read and write English
