Your New RoleYou will form part of a highly skilled team performing high-level application and system support for the Defence environment, as part of the Centralised Processing (CP) program. Working in a large and complex environment, your role will be to manage Citrix and Horizon solutions and support project work across a broad spectrum of technologies.Specifically you will perform a variety of activities, which involve standard procedures for Citrix and Horizon Systems requiring familiarity and expertise with a broad field of Systems Engineering and knowledge, which may include:IT Support for Citrix and Horizon solutions and advice on projectsOperates as third level support for the solutions and related-servicesAct as root cause driver to identify and remediate platform configuration issues or bugsServe as operational 2nd/3rd level of escalation for related technologiesResponsible for pro-active problem solving of issues, capacity problems, tuning the environment to achieve optimal performance and availability Produce health check processes and methods required to reduce and eliminate issues effecting end usersLead resolution of specific issues and internal projects associated with assigned responsibilities for platform and technologiesAssist with delivery of project deliverables of platform infrastructure implementations Mentor and provide knowledge transfer and training to other Systems AdministratorsParticipate in team on call roster and be available for early/late starts rosters to cover 7am – 7pm weekdays
