Your New Role

We have an opportunity for an accomplished Project Manager who offers experience in the delivery of end to end complex projects. This role sits within our IT Projects Division for someone who is prepared to be hands on and drive results.

We are looking for a Project Manager who offers demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders on complex projects and who can oversee and manage all operational aspects of projects.

Whilst the title contains the word ‘manager’ we are looking for someone who understands what it takes to lead, motivate and inspire a team of people to do great things. We believe in creating great project experiences that are measured by the satisfaction of stakeholders as well as the traditional targets of time and cost.

Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):

  • Coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting and stakeholder management.
  • Develop and update project artefacts as required including PMP, schedule, risk and issues registers, and communication plans etc.
  • Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.
  • Monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
  • Manage dependencies that are being delivered by other ICT providers.
  • Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end-users and management.
  • Participate in budget development and evaluating how the project plan changes impact cost and schedule.

Qualifications

About you and What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of project management experience in delivering outcomes in complex, multi-vendor environments.
  • Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and juggling the complexity of managing the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a leadership style that is consultative and attuned to the needs and expectations of the customer.
  • Able to produce outcomes in a complex environment, while building partnerships and drives collaboration with others.
  • Able to manage a high level of stakeholder complexity and had the end user in mind.
  • Formal qualification in Project Management (Agile, PMP, Prince2 Practitioner) and/or Professional membership would be desirable.
  • Experience in ITIL based project delivery.
  • Previous proposal development and/or systems engineering practice experience would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate will leverage skills and experience to create productive working relationships with the customer team and other service providers. You must be able to create an instant rapport with the team and demonstrate that you understand how to build relationships and influence.

Due to the nature of the work, this role will require applicants to be Australian Citizens with a current NV-1 clearance.
