About Your New Role

As a Senior Security Architect within the Science, Engineering and Technology team, you will be responsible for supporting Leidos Australia’s bids and ongoing programs by providing tailored cyber security advice and enabling our customers through risk based security choices. Working with a team of solution architects and engineers, you will be become a trusted security advisor to Leidos’ customers. You will collaboratively design secure systems that meet our customer’s needs. You will present new security and technology solutions to meet requirements whilst being part of a supportive and integrated team with peers in Pre-Sales,Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, and Security Architecture.

In a typical day, you will:

  • Lead security focused projects and captures to ensure requirements are captured and solutions align with the customer and Leidos strategic direction
  • Derive, review, interpret and respond to customer security requirements to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current and future road map technologies
  • Contribute to the security technologies, bases of estimates (BOE) and bills of material (BOM) for proposals
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders from within Leidos AU and our customers
  • Generate relationships with Leidos AU technical capability partners and evaluate their products to enable the selection of best of breed products and solutions for Leidos AU proposals.
  • Leadthe pre-sales security requirements gathering, technical design and other system-related workshops
  • Work collaboratively to support security design compliance and governance activities with projects
  • Develop and maintain models of current and future security architectures within defined solutions
  • Present business cases for security solutions, considering cost, infrastructure, licenses, development and support

Qualifications

About You And What You'll Bring

  • Substantial professional experience with cyber security, including previous experience in a range of technical areas such as Incident Response, Penetration Testing, Security Architecture, and Security Research
  • Hands on intermediate or better experience across a broad range of cyber security technologies with specific interest in cloud and cloud native-security technologies, but also traditional security architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience in Customer engagement and eliciting requirements from stakeholders, as well as developing artefacts such as bases of estimates and bills of material.
  • Experience in Government information assurance requirements including the Australian Government Information Security Manual;
  • Experience working on large, complex ICT projects and/or in Defence ICT;
  • A minimum of an NV1 clearance will be required.
  • A Bachelor degree or higher in software engineering, computer science or a related discipline is desired but not necessary. Substantial relevant professional experience and specialised training will be highly regarded.Relevant certifications or Professional membership would be desirable.
