The University of Guam (UOG) seeks an individual who is interested in new challenges and opportunities for professional and personal growth and who is interested in working in a dynamic, multi-cultural institution of higher education in the Pacific.
The UOG Triton Athletics department is an ever-growing organization that works with many of the Olympic committee and national teams on the island as well as youth groups, university departments, and community service branches that deal with health, sports, and the physical well-being of the citizens of Guam. It has a rich history in athletics with championships including the 2018-2019 GFA Amateur Men's League for soccer.
The UOG Men's Soccer Coach reports directly to the Athletics Director and is responsible for the supervision and coaching of the UOG men's soccer team.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Three (3) years of soccer coaching experience or more.
Exceptional ability to work with little supervision, make sound decisions, use good judgement, and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Experience working in a culturally diverse population.
Ability to communicate effective orally and in writing.
Flexible schedule, including availability to attend games and practices on evenings and weekends as needed
Must have reliable transportation
Other Information:
Contractor must be an independent contractor and not an agent, employee or alter ego of UOG.
Contractor is not entitled to the rights, privileges or benefits that UOG provides for its employees.
Contractor is required to provide either Social Security numbers (SSNs), Employer Identification numbers (EINs), or Tax Identification Numbers (TINs) for internal verification, administrative and tax purposes. Further, contractors may be required to complete Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Tax Form W-8BEN and submit business license for tax purposes.
