This position is responsible for the oversight of overall operations of The Buccaneer Hotel Beach and Family Activity Department in Christiansted.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Developing, coordinating and managing the beach activities.

2. Manage schedules ensuring adequate team coverage.

3. Develop, organize and implement activities for all age ranges.

4. Supervise Kids Camp Counselors and coach for enhanced performan ce.

5. Conduct inte rviews for new hires, ensuring that candidates have the required compet encies.

6. Ensure guest activities occur as scheduled at least once a week, ensuring that all staff are properly trained on all activities .

7. Consistently disseminate accurate information on activities to guests.

8. Attend weekly planning meetings.

9. Attend weekly Managers meetings.

10. Ensure that all team members arelrained in life-saving techniques, including First Aid and CPR.

11. Conduct regular inventory of equipment including First Aid kits.

12. Conduct monthly inventory of all equipment at all beaches and pools.

13. Ensure all life-saving equipment are available at all beaches and pools with backups in storage.

14. Make recommendations to Director of Front Office and General Manager; plan for changes and upgrades to enhance the guests' experience.

15. Maintain a daily plan; anticipate guests' needs; adjust schedules and weekly activities when required.

16. Collaborate with Guest Services Manager and Administrative Assistant to review upcoming high house count points and special guest events, especially on wedding dates.

17. Perform daily review on equipment and towel check out sheets.

18. Responsible for evaluating team's performance and documenting employee discipline when necessary.

19. Responsible for planning and coordinating all staff training and onboarding new employees.
