The job of the Guest Service Agent involves providing general support to the Front Office by providing a primary level of guest assistance throughout the hotel. In addition to this, a Guest Service Agent serves as a resource person for guests, and performs various duties, which assists in the overall presentation of The Buccaneer Hotel. A Guest Service Agent assists staff in a smooth and efficient manner, and adheres to all protocols in line with the hotels strategy, and values.

Main Duties:

Responsible for coordinating and carrying out Guest Services Operations including superior Concierge Services.

Interacts with guests to ensure Buccaneer standards are being met.

Responsible for providing information and guidance regarding programs and services available to guests.

Serve as a liaison between guests and the hotel.

Act as a listening post for guests' compliments and complaints.

Influence other staff by demonstrating superior guest service attitudes and social skills with guests.

All and any other duties as assigned or required.

Channel all guest complaints, guest concerns, special guest/group requests according to hotel procedures to the Front Office Director.

Answer all guest inquiries promptly, efficiently and courteously.

Make restaurant reservations for guests according to guidelines provided by the restaurant managers.

Check allocated guest rooms prior to guest arrival.

Channel all room reservation and functions inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

Inform and assist guests of sign up/reservation procedures for golf and tennis games, spa treatments, kids camp, fitness center and all other resort services.

Remain alert to safety hazards and possible safety problems.

Assist with travel arrangements of guests.

Greet and show guests to their rooms and assist with luggage if necessary.

Ensure that guests are advised of all the services offered by the hotel and direct them to the appropriate employees/representatives for sign up.

Advise guests of tourist attractions, local restaurants, island tours, transport services, such as taxi service and rental car companies, maps and general information and assist in bookings and/or directions. Ensure that preferred vendors are offered first by staff.

Inform guests about specific island events and distribute venue information and updates.
