Pamela's Caribbean Cuisine is an award-winning San Juan restaurant popular for special occasions. Adjacent to Numero Uno Pamela's is known not only for its exquisite Caribbean-fusion menu, but also for its one-of-a-kind beachside location.
We are looking for a fun, outgoing Chef that will be a good cultural fit to join our team!
Essential Functions:
Menu planning
Control menu costs and maintain appropriate food cost
Hire, train, schedule, supervise and coordinate the work activities of all kitchen staff.
set up and maintain relationship with vendors
monitor food cost and numbers by raising and lowering prices according to market conditions.
Prepare all necessary data for the budget; project annual food and labor costs.
Qualifications:
Spanish speaking a must
Must be able to start the week of 1/28/2019 to 02/01/2019
2 + years in Executive Chef experience
Past Management experience
Demonstrated proficiency in food safety standards in the Food Code
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Must have demonstrated experience in monitoring inventory and supply chain management
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
High level of customer service ability
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
