We are seeking a Production Manager with experience in all production activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; implements practices that maximize production efforts to improve the overall effectiveness and financial performance of the production function.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient and effective department processes, policies and procedures.

Ensures all safety rules and regulations are followed; investigates accidents in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.

Track and manage key metrics for production area.

Utilize trends to drive improvement actions.

Develops and communicates goals and key initiatives to improve plant performance and success.

Maintains knowledge of the skills of the labor force to manage in time of employee absence or unexpected peak demands.

Interfaces with QC Department to ensure highest degree of final quality and develop new and better quality methods.

Ensure internal/external complaints linked to production are investigated and effectively closed.

Monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.

Collaboratively identifies, documents and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.

Hires, trains, supervises, motivates and develops production staff; manages schedules and workflow.

Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.

Manages reviews of all subordinates in conjunction with coaching their performance.

Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking preventative/corrective actions.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Computer Skills: knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software (charting, trending, pivot tables); accounting software; internet software and contact management systems.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferably in an Engineering or science related field with at least 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
