Job Description

As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking an experiencedSecurity Officer looking for a lifestyle change to join our team at Gove House, living and working in Nhulunbuy, NT. The Security Officerwill be rostered on a 14 day on, 7 days off – 10hours per night shift.

As this position requires you to relocate or currently live inNhulunbuy you will be comfortable working and livingin remote environments.

The responsibilities of the Security Officerwill include but are not limited to the follow:

• Conducting regular foot or mobile patrols of transit housing - vacant and occupied properties. SPQ residential sector, village and town flats
• Provide basic response for: fire/security alarms, anti-social behaviour, room lockouts and basic first aid
• Monitoring of critical infrastructure and personnel
• Monitor Digital Mobile Network system (DMR)
• Provide basic crowd control
• Compiling periodical Security Audit Reports, as well as ad hoc reports as required
• Compile the daily occurrence/incident log and conduct appropriate handover
• Responding to incidents
• Ensure site integrity and safety
• Provide a physical presence in order to deter disturbance
• Compile periodical Security Audit Reports, as well as ad hoc reports as required
• Uphold all Federal and state laws

To be successful in this role you must meet the below criteria:

• Current Northern Territory Security Licence
• CurrentFirst Aid Certificate or CPR
• Current Manual Driver’s License (unencumbered)
• National Police Clearance
• Basic computer skills
• Good report writing skills
• Observant, confident, good problem solving skills
• Physically fit and reliable
