Small organization located in the St. Thomas, East End area, is looking for an assistant to join our team to perform a variety of accounting and financial duties, included but not limited to the following:
Preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports.
Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions and journal entries.
Assist with bank deposits and cash reconciliations.
Researches and resolves issues and exceptions.
Completes simple and complex calculations and assists with trial balances.
May also process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
May be responsible for the processing of a group of accounts.
Has a good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
High school diploma required. Knowledge of accounting acquired through completion of an Associates degree in Accounting preferred. Is proficient with Quickbooks, PC Windows applications, spreadsheets and other software tools.
