St Thomas Cycleboats is looking for a general manager with experience in sales and marketing.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in: sales, organization, relationship building, familiarity with boats and USVI waters, social media, digital marketing, and grass roots marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and direct all activities related to the business including but not limited to the following:
-Crew-
Hire and train Captains and crew
Ensure all crew has proper certifications in place and have copies of all necessary licenses, certifications, first aid, etc.
Maintain crew files electronically
Ensure all trips are properly staffed by managing crew and assigning guides in Xola
-Maintenance-
Handle and coordinate to ensure proper maintenance is taken care of for the boat and gears, chains, etc.
Ensure boat is fully stocked prior to each trip with rum punch, cups, shirts, koozies, and hats
Ensure the boat stays up to date with all licenses, registrations, USCG, etc.
-Bookings-
Handle all bookings in Xola to include cancellations, modifications, refunds, questions
Maintain all aspects of the bookings software system
Keep software up to date of changing calendar
Keep all third party booking systems up to date of changing calendar
-Social Media-
Post regularly (daily within reason if content appropriate) on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Maintain instagram stories to promote upcoming trips and events
Create and manage Instagram and Facebook paid ads
Manage and respond to reviews
-Sales/Marketing-
Manage all sales and marketing efforts to promote and create awareness of St. Thomas Cycleboats
Maintain all hotels have our rack cards stocked
Maintain a relationship with all hotel concierge and coordinate concierge complimentary trips
Ritz, Marriott, Margaritaville, Carnival Cruise ships, etc.
Coordinate complimentary trips for various groups on island
-Community-
Get involved in community events and organizations to promote St. Thomas
Cycleboats to build brand awareness
Maintain active relationship with VIPCA and VIHTA and Dept. of Tourism
-Other-
Write blog posts periodically and send to web developer
Coordinate changes to website as needed with web developer
Periodically check the mailbox in Crown Bay Marina
Prepare boat for tropical storms and hurricanes
