Established USVI based construction company seeking qualified foremen, field supervisors and project managers for long term work on commercial construction projects on St. Croix. UPDATE:

Foremen should have 3-5 years experience with construction field work and be capable of leading and working alongside a 5-20 person crew. This position requires full time active hands on performance.

Field Supervisors should have 5 years experience in residential or commercial construction directing the daily actions and working alongside crews sized from 20-50 or more workers or 5-10 crews. Ideal candidates will have first hand experience in multiple construction trades and techniques including earthwork, utilities, concrete and rebar, carpentry, plumbing and electrical, drywall, painting, roofing and finish work. Verified experience working on multiple projects sized over $1M or more is preferred. Candidates should have experience reading and understanding construction drawings exceeding 50 pages and specifications exceeding 200 pages, and have the ability to direct and assure contract compliant work is installed in the field. This is a physically active field supervisory position.

Project Managers will have 5+ years verifiable experience managing construction projects in excess of $1M and ideally experience managing construction projects sized $5M or larger. Work will be performed out of a field office, where PM will have oversight over all site construction operations. Work will include scheduling of field operations, cost tracking, contract administration, record keeping, quality control and safety monitoring, material logistics and more. As a decision maker on site, applicants should have an intimate working knowledge of standard construction systems. Coordination of subcontractors will be a minor portion of the work but applicants should be aware that the majority of the work will be self-performed and as such, PMs should be prepared to provide detailed answers to any questions that may arise in the field from the foremen or field supervisor level. This position requires a high level understanding of how to translate the plans and specifications to the field personnel to ensure that each project is completed with strict adherence to the contract documents. Salary for this position can be negotiated based on experience.
