Big Creek Construction is Seeking an EXPERIENCED Survey Crew Chief to join us in several upcoming projects.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is responsible, highly dependable, and has the ability to work with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
Communicate timely and accurately with Survey Manager on a daily basis to establish workload and its associated needs
Perform construction layout work competently and accurately as specified by Survey Manager
Construction Staking: Offsets, Hubs, Stakes, & Laths
Analyze construction drawings and other documentation as needed to complete surveys
Oversee and direct the daily activities of Rod Man, providing training in regards to surveying practices and procedures
Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret construction plans
Proficiency in the Agtek set up and operate of robotic total stations
Create three dimensional models using Topcon Office, Magnet, Carlson, GPS Receivers and Auto Levels
A valid TEXAS driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to work independently
Standard Requirements
Perform work duties in a variety of weather-related conditions with exposure to outdoor elements
Walking long distances on uneven ground, work long hours and travel out of town for work when necessary
Ability to carry survey instruments and equipment
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Pass a Fit For Work Physical
Pass a Drug/Alcohol Test
Compensation: Commensurate with Experience
