The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.Conduct Management is the company’s front line ethics and allegation management function, responsible for team member experience, end-to-end investigations, and enterprise platform management and reporting. We focus on team member feedback to drive operational excellence in our company’s ethics program to ensure that team members are protected and feel comfortable raising concerns.Business Excellence is responsible for establishing and maintaining the governance and operational infrastructure for Conduct Management and providing centralized support and services across the Conduct Management organization to meet our strategic priorities. Our Governance team within Business Excellence is seeking a Business Risk and Control Manager.This role will report to the leader of Conduct Management Governance, and is responsible for successfully building and leading the Internal Risk and Controls front line activities.Key responsibilities include managing a team that will:

Serve as second line (Risk, Compliance, Enterprise Testing) contact for all Conduct Management testing activities. This includes:

Maintenance of testing calendarsEngagement Models and ReadinessCoordination of testing, tracking and review of all related requests and inquiriesCredibly challenge when appropriate, mitigate potential issues.Executive reporting

Serve as contact for all corporate required risk and control assessments. This includes:

Coordination, Execution, Governance, Communications

Provide insights and serve as subject matter expert for all Conduct Management business environment Regulatory Sources, Major Requirements and Controls. Consult with various stakeholders as needed.

Serve as primary contact for Policy Exceptions as well as other various exceptions

Responsible for front line early detection of any policy outliers utilizing various exception reporting and early detection reporting

Identify, escalate self-identified Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) issues as needed in partnership with broader Conduct Management and Issue Management teams.

As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management

2+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

Ability to identify risk factors and ensure enactment of appropriate controls

Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; and identifying issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinations

Knowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) such as reporting and issue management

Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
