Position Summary

The Feature Lead will be responsible for helping drive a strategic program aimed at building an 'agile-centric' portfolio intake process and platform, based on the Scaled Agile Lean Portfolio Management framework, that will initially include intake, analysis, estimation, and prioritization. The candidate will work with business, technology, and operations leaders to develop, support, and govern a cross organization process. This individual will couple portfolio management and project management skills to incrementally move a 7,000-person organization towards a more agile framework by helping to automate and streamline the portfolio intake, estimation, and prioritization process to derive actionable insights for senior executive stakeholder decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include the ability to understand complex problems, organizational constraints, and negotiate practical working solutions across organizational boundaries.
  • The incumbent will play a key role within the Product team to create and deliver new features and functionality, blending strategy and vision with targeted execution to drive the platform forward.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience managing large technology portfolios and programs, creating and maintaining process and training material on newly defined processes (e.g. persona driven process maps, intake mgmt., project planning, roadmaps, training material, interdependency management, tracking of targeted business outcomes and associated metrics).
  • Includes articulating and presenting to audiences at all levels and ability to multi-task and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

The candidate must have a proven track record in portfolio and program management creating and maintaining effective and repeatable program governance routines, program reporting, and articulate communication. Highly motivated, creative-problem solver with an analytical mindset is a must. The incumbent must thrive in fast-paced environment with ambitious delivery timelines and provide technical thought leadership based on significant experience they have built through multiple software implementations and has developed both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Deep understanding of the Scaled Agile framework
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to gain consensus with senior leaders having competing priorities, processes, and personalities
  • Proven experience leading enterprise level initiatives that span multiple organizations
  • Experience with developing tools to automate and streamline program processes
  • Ability to lead requirements gathering and execution planning sessions with Technology, Operations, and Business
  • A good knowledge of the techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling portfolios and programs
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Atlassian products and tools, including JIRA, JQL, Confluence, and Wiki
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously
  • Strong background in rationalization and sequencing of cross organizational portfolios and programs
  • Strong experience and knowledge of both waterfall and lean agile methodologies
  • Scaled Agile LPM and/or SPC certification, or the ability to obtain within 60 days

Desired Skills
  • Extensive experience with preparation and execution of Program Increment Planning sessions
  • Strong relationships with key stakeholders across Enterprise Architecture, Work Management, Change Management, CI/CD, and Release Management teams
