The Cyber Security Technology (CST) function within Global Information Security is responsible for innovation and architecture, engineering, solutions and capabilities development, deployment maintenance and support of information technology security controls. The CST team is also responsible for the management of the program/project management teams.

This role is responsible for developing and delivering data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals. Key responsibilities include data governance tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytics data systems. They work with stakeholders, Product Owners and Software Engineers to aid in the governance of data to include contributing to efforts to capture and manage the control inventory, measuring effectiveness of controls, managing data quality requirements to resolve DQ gaps/issues, and manage all forms of business, technical and operational metadata.

Primary Level of Engagement: Works as a team member under supervision from a more senior domain expert.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with technical and operational subject matter experts to understand and collect metadata about systems, processes, reports, controls, data movement, and business terminology.
  • Document inventory of current state data quality controls
  • Perform root cause analysis on data issues and recommend data quality controls to resolve gaps/issues.
  • Contribute to agile story refinement/defining requirements.
  • Participate in estimating work necessary to realize an agile story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Work across development teams to understand and aid in data management and governance requirements.
  • Build / improve data governance processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency and workload management.
  • Identify gaps in data management standards adherence and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.

Job Requirements:
  • Must Have strong data management and governance skills and experience (5+ years)
  • Must Have strong experience and advanced understanding of the collection and management of metadata (as it relates to the governance of data and data quality) (5+ years).
  • Should have experience with, and understanding of, implementing and measuring Data Quality and Controls
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and address problems to resolve issues whenever possible in way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking
  • Must be pro-active and be able to drive direction of work that needs to be completed
  • Ability to work with Technical and Non-Technical business owners
  • Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight. Motivated and willing to learn.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be comfortable in delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding
  • Must have strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management
