Job Description:
  • An LSEG Lead Business Analyst has an authoritative and deep tacit understanding of business analysis.
  • You will be able to modify or alter standards and develop new and innovative approaches to take care of unusual situations.
  • As well as being able to easily produce high-quality results in most situations and be able to develop a vision of what is possible.
  • You will have Financial Service Industry Standard knowledge of related Tasks and Techniques and very deep experience performing the competencies in a wide variety of complex contexts and situations.
  • Being an authority and primary source of knowledge (in a large context, not just a team context) with vast experience applied in just the right context you will mentor and guide others to master the proficiencies and set examples for others in sophisticated situations.
  • You will demonstrate the indicators of the proficiencies in a variety of complex and ambiguous situations and provides more structural education in the holistic development of the competencies.
  • You will provide expert opinion and mentorship in the development of Product Roadmaps and Backlogs and will lead all aspects of the successful integration of the REM framework within an organizational area.
  • As well as challenging the status quo to develop innovative solutions that help advance business analysis as a subject area, practice or profession, and help expand business analysis concepts and practices.

Required Responsibilities:

  • Develop and proactively drive the adoption of tools, templates, and processes for planning a business analysis approach.
  • Document rules and standard methodologies for selecting a communication method.
  • Build new and innovative formal and informal processes, tools, or techniques that others can maximize during discovery to isolate critical information.
  • Develop engagement strategies to support organizational transformation.
  • Develop a new organizational structure for managing business analysis information.
  • Monitor the market for technologies/processes to manage business analysis information.
  • Build elicitation support material templates for others to use.
  • Develop approaches and tactics for developing greater organizational understanding.
  • Continually supervise processes, seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion Agile Principles throughout the Product Development Life-Cycle
  • Seen as a specialist and uses experience and knowledge of mentoring techniques consistently (eg: Accompanying, Sowing, Catalysing, Showing, and Harvesting) to develop others across the organization.
  • Develop new and innovative evaluation method(s), including metrics, measurement tools, etc.
  • Partner with and support the architect, development, delivery, and intake managers in this space
  • Lead partner engagement for sophisticated projects assigned
  • Prioritize across projects and BAU activities when required and ensure priorities align with partners

Required Skills:

  • Experience in leading small teams of Business Analysts, preferably in an Agile environment, experience with Jira or similar products.
  • Capable of motivating and energizing others, as well as gaining their respect.
  • A deep understanding of the financial services/banking/investment industry, with experience in market data.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
  • A good understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies
  • Proficient with business analysis tools and Microsoft office products
  • Ability and willingness to work through new business domains, detail, including where required, data mappings.
  • Superb communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Requirements elicitation and documentation.
  • Experience working with Global teams - and confidence working on the phone.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies as a Product Owner.
  • Quick learner - aptitude and interest in technical concepts essential

Required Education/ Certifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Certification in Business Analysis, by a recognizable institution, is a plus
