Texas Health Allen seeks to hire a Cardiac Exercise Physiologist to work PRN.The address is 1105 Central Expwy North Allen, TX 75013Salary range is Min. $21.42/hr to Max. $35.22/hr – based on relevant experienceHours/Schedule:PRN (as needed); Monday-Friday 8:00A-5:00PSkills:Performs cardiac diagnostic stress testing, which includes treadmill, pharmacological and nuclear stress test and resting ECG.Ability to accurately interpret rest and stress 12 lead ECG and document any abnormalities.Assess level of patient care and any contraindications to performing diagnostic stress test.Demonstrates knowledge of radio isotopes used in Nuclear CardiologyCommunications effectively, conveys appropriate, relevant information to physicians and other health care providers.Reports critical findings promptly to interpreting CardiologistDemonstrates safe, pro active patient care skills.Demonstrates basic computer skills.Demonstrates proper utilization and upkeep of equipment.Active participation in equipment research and evaluation.Performs work timely and complete.Follows infection control and patient safety guidelines.Demonstrates knowledge of quality control and quality assurance.Performs all duties in compliance with HIPAA, JACHO hospital and department standards and policies.Professionalism and Partnership:Maintains current certification, Certified Excersice Specialist (CES) or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) through American College of Sports Medicine, ACSM www.certification.ascm.orgMaintains certification for BLS and ACLS.Completes required competencies in a timely fashion.Identifies areas for self improvement.Assists with department initiatives for equipment evaluation, process improvement.Meets requirements for Patient Safety Observation.Projects a professional image.Uses appropriate etiquette when dealing with patients, family using age specific criteria.Attendance and punctuality:Reports to work on time and when scheduled.Manages workload daily.Utilizes PTO within guidelines.Calls in for unplanned occurrences.Teamwork/Continuous Improvement:Acts as a team member.Works cooperatively.Willingly accepts additional responsibility.Carries out assignments with appropriate level of independence and requests assistance as needed.Treats others equally and with respect.Attends department staff meeting; inservices and educational seminars.Is pro active, suggesting department and hospital improvementsParticipates in quality improvement/quality assurance process.QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology RequiredAndMaster's Degree Exercise Physiology PreferredExperience3 months experience in cardiac diagnostic stress testing or cardiac rehab RequiredLicenses and CertificationsBCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire RequiredAndACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire RequiredAndEP-C - Certified Exercise Physiologist Upon Hire Pref erredOrRCEP - Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Upon Hire PreferredSkillsPerform Treadmill Exercise Stress Test, Nuclear Stress Test and Pharmacological Stress Test.
