Overview
The Global Infrastructure Solutions Architect will work with Project Managers, Technology Leaders and Business System Analysts to provide technical guidance and project coordination to support security and infrastructure changes to the GMF environment. This individual will need to identify which projects will require infrastructure or security involvement and determine what area of support to engage. They will attend project meetings when necessary and assist in gathering and documenting infrastructure and security requirements. This person needs to be very experienced in technology with planning and coordination skills. An energetic, solution minded personality with drive, attention to details and excellent communication skills will be needed for success in this position. Responsibilities JOB DUTIES- Collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the artifacts as needed
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
- A strong knowledge of infrastructure design and implementations is a must
- Must have high attention to detail, be well organized and be a self-starter
- Create and maintain network, server and security diagrams
- Create infrastructure and security requirements for projects
- Review requirements with the infrastructure and security teams
- Work with the infrastructure and security teams to manage resources for projects
- Collaborate with Project Management, Architecture, BSA and Business Teams
- Works closely with technical staff to develop solutions to new or changing business objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Conform with all company policies and procedures
- Advanced knowledge in Infrastructure Solutions design and management
- High level understanding of technology infrastructure, security concepts and platforms
- Local and wide area networking concepts, principles and protocols
- Strong working knowledge of Intel platforms
- TCP/IP, OSI model and ip subnetting
- Understanding of application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL and DNS
- Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and processes
- Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers and emerging computing trends
- Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating systems as well as knowledge of key business functions and processes
- Working knowledge of Agile development, Scrum and Application Lifecycle Management
- Experience with UML Design Tools
- Ability to approach problems with an open-mind, use existing information and resources
- Ability to think strategically and make collaborative decisions
- Advanced technical writing
- Detail Oriented
- Communicates quickly, clearly, concisely, appropriately and intelligently
- Experience in documentation tools such as Visio and Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Network and VLAN segmentation

- IT security processes and controls knowledge as well as IT infrastructure and networking technical knowledge
- Demonstrated strong analytic and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with container orchestration platforms
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred
- 5-7 years work experience in IT required
- 2-4 years infrastructure architecture experience preferred
- Deep technical experience in one or more of the following areas: software design or development, application design, systems operations/management, database architecture, virtualization, IP networking, storage, IT security and Linux system administration preferred
- Experience in driving new infrastructure technologies from proof-of-concepts to full production implementation preferred
- Systems design experience with cloud like technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) preferred
- Experience with the following: Azure Eventhub,Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Blob Storage, Azure DNS, Virtual Networks, Redis Cache and Azure App Service, Containers preferred
- Experience in articulating the business drives and architectural approach/trade-offs during discussions for solution buy-in at various levels and gain consensus preferred
