Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices. Prepare specifications for parts lists, assemblies, and installations. Prepare complete production detail drawings. Contribute design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations. Support manufacturing to provide liaison to engineeringEssential Functions:
Create Mechanical and Electrical Drawings in compliance with ANSI Y14.2 (DOD-STD-100 / 1000) using AutoCAD or Solidworks.
Create ECNs to existing drawings for the Hardware Engineering Department.
Generate new drawings/documents for the Hardware Engineering Department
Work well with others in a design environment.
Possess skills to prioritize assignments and flexibility to adjust to highest priorities depending on program needs
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience. Prefer one plus years of experience or more.
Have experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
Preferred Additional Skills:
Understanding of ANSI and ASME standards.
Familiarity with sheet metal design and American Welding Society standards for drafting.
Be able to work from sketches and/or redlines.
Familiarity with Mil Standard parts
Familiarity with additive manufacturing
Past experience with Solidworks Enterprise PDM, PDM Works and/or PLM software
Familiarity with DELTEK / Costpoint and MRP
