Texas Health is expanding to Frisco, collaborating with UT Southwestern Medical Center to build a campus that will serve as a major access point, delivering quality, consumer-centric services to a rapidly growing community. Frisco is ranked as the fastest-growing city in the nation, with a population expected to exceed 200,000 in 2020.Texas Health has formed a separate nonprofit organization with UT Southwestern to own and operate the campus. UT Southwestern and Texas Health have a 49 percent and 51 percent interest in the project, respectively, with the Board of Trustees comprised accordingly.Scheduled to open in 2019 and located on 20 acres off the Dallas North Tollway in northeast Collin County, Texas Health Hospital Frisco will feature a 325,000-square-foot, 80-bed acute care hospital that will include a 24/7 emergency room, surgical services, women’s services and a neonatal intensive care unit(NICU). Operated by Texas Health Resources, the hospital is a joint venture with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Staffing will be open to all qualified physicians and surgeons.The 120,000-square-foot medical office building operated by UT Southwestern will house primary care practices and a multispecialty clinic. The building will have space for both UT Southwestern and community physicians. Specialties include orthopedic and spine surgery, bariatric surgery, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, urology and several pediatric specialties. In addition to office space for physicians, the office building will offer a branch of the O’Donnell Brain Institute as well as comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation services including a physical therapy gym designed to provide services for both musculoskeletal and traumatic brain injury. Offering this broad range of clinical specialties in one location will bring comprehensive health care to Northeast Collin County, exceeding the unique needs of each individual and the collective well-being of the community.The Chief Financial Officer of Texas Health Hospital Frisco (TH Frisco) reports directly to the President, TH Frisco and is responsible for financial aspects of hospital including the monthly financial report process, accounts payable, net revenue and payroll. Ensure internal controls and financial processes within hospital are running smoothly and compliant with policy and procedure. Manage the HIM and Business Offices services personnel. Serves as a resource by other departments to assist with financial related questions and decisions. Be an integral factor in the development of the financial budget and product line analysis as it relates to financial plans. Builds and maintains strategic relationships. Manages conflict and competing imperatives. Builds customer loyalty among physicians, employees and community. Possesses requisite level of technical and professional knowledge in Accounting including exceptional leadership skills.The Chief Financial Officer has the following duties and responsibilities:Strategic Management:Collaborates with others to establish vision and values for patient care services. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) required.

Master’s degree preferred.

Certified Public Accountant or comparable degree preferred.

Master’s degree in hospital administration or an MBA is strongly preferred.

A minimum of 8 years of increasingly responsible financial management and leadership positions in a health care or related organization.

A minimum of 4 years in a manager or director level position required.

The Chief Finance Officer needs to possess the skills and training to manage and lead a diverse group of people.

The incumbent must understand the intricacies of complex organizational dynamics to effectively develop strategies for success.

The incumbent needs to understand how to develop and integrate systems and processes into an organization so the organization’s structure can operate smoothly and efficiently.

The Chief Finance Officer needs to have a proven track record of success both working in and managing via a matrix structure.

The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of financial accounting, cost accounting, generally accepted accounting principles and internal accounting controls as well as a general knowledge of financial analysis, planning and computer systems.

The Chief Finance Officer must have a continuous knowledge of supply costs and appropriately assess variances.

The incumbent must have the ability to organize, delegate and supervise professionals as well as clerical staff and possess good oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of product pricing, provider reimbursement and financial requirements specific to hospitals are beneficial.

Ability to anticipate and model what changes in reimbursement will mean for the hospital.
