Texas Health Resources seeks to hire an Events Specialist to work full time in their Foundations/Events Department.The address is 612 East Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX 76011.Salary range is Minimum $22.93/hr. to Maximum $34.32/hr. – based on relevant experienceWork Schedule:

Full Time; 1 st Shift

Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with some nights and weekends

Job Description:Volunteer Management:

Drives the volunteer recruitment and training process in order to execute Foundation events effectively.

Assists with all facets of event committee work and attends all committee meetings. Duties include agenda generation, underwriting support, and administrative oversight.

Supports volunteer leaders through one-on-one meetings with event chairs/co-chairs.

Planning and Budgeting:

Provides direct leadership in the planning and budgeting for assigned events. Planning includes interactions with Foundation leadership and hospital leadership.

Responsible for working with all external parties required to execute the event.

Tracks budget compliance and maintains all records regarding revenues/expenditures related to the event.

Scrubs Day Program:

Coordinates the planning and execution of up to six Scrubs Day events for assigned entities including interactions with Foundation, hospital and clinical leadership. Duties include preparation of agendas, presentations, guest bios and compliance privacy documents as well as assisting in managing supplies inventory (scrubs, gifts, etc.)

Responsible for tracking budget compliance and maintaining all records regarding expenditures related to the event.

Data Management:

Ensures that special event activities are accurately documented in the donor database.

Creates and maintains spreadsheets for committee correspondence, underwriting solicitation, and auction solicitation.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications

High School Diploma Required

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

2 years direct experience in non-profit fundraising or marketing field; meeting organization and execution; preference for direct fund solicitation; volunteer management experience

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

Experience and competence with Raiser’s edge database desired

Highly organized

Ability to manage and lead community volunteers and support their needs

Detail oriented
