Overview

The IT Automation Business Systems Analyst will lead the effort in delivering Information Technology Process/Software/Digital Automation solutions within the GM Financial Automation Delivery Model. The IT Automation Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for identifying automation requirements for process ideation for each assigned POD. The IT Automation Business Systems Analyst will take a lead role in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver automation strategic initiatives. The IT Automation Business Systems Analyst will demonstrate a deep understanding of automation technologies and capabilities with an ability to articulate the same.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Provide project management, leadership, and coordination support to the development of digital automation solutions (RPA)
  • Own governance/process and manage automation activities for assigned POD process deliverables
  • Assisting with project plans, requirements definition, documentation, vendor management and support of automation deliverables
  • Work closely with business operational partners in accordance with the Automation Delivery Framework ensuring alignment to timelines and mutual dependencies
  • Support identification of new opportunities for process automation, machine learning, process mining, and other process automation opportunities
  • Leverage existing and newly discovered best practices utilized for automation delivery
  • Develop defined project deliverables including lifecycle documents and status reports
  • Facilitate meetings including preparing agendas, coordinating schedules and materials, following-up on action items, organizing and distributing project related documentation
  • Ability to collaborate with process owners to understand and validate automation requirements
  • Conduct assessment of current Automation opportunities, provide feasibility consideration, ROI and implementation approach
  • Regularly communicate Automation project status to Automation Governance Committees
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Exposure to various Process Automation tools (such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, etc) will be seen as a strength and an added advantage
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Automation solutions is a big plus
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes for supported business groups
  • Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions
  • Good understanding of programming frameworks and modern IT delivery methodologies such as agile
  • Previous experience in business analysis and process improvements
  • Certification in an industry leading Robotics Process Automation (RPA) product - preferred
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification - preferred
  • Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation products infrastructure and sizing
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with automation analytics - preferred
  • Experience leading and running a mix of IT/Business projects and programs
  • Prior experience leading Process Automation projects

Education

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred
  • Master's Degree preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years delivering automation solutions such as Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, etc required

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment subject to stressful situations
  • Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime may be required
  • Limited travel may be required to support business needs
