Purpose: The Project Manager applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risks to ensure satisfied customers. This role has ultimate responsibility for all assigned projects and manages customer satisfaction, definition, planning, monitoring, and other aspects of a project. The Project Manager develops and maintains an accurate resource management system to notify management of constraints in a timely manner.

Job-Specific Functions

Develops project plans and manages project team activities to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget

Coordinate with project leaders to clarify and develop comprehensive project plans with specific requirements of each project.

Establishes clear ownership for project tasks, ensures that team members have the tools needed, and provides timely feedback

Interacts regularly with project teams, gains thorough understanding of stakeholder requirements, communicates them to the appropriate team members, and manages all requirements to ensure delivery to the stakeholder

Assesses project issues and identifies solutions to meet productivity, quality and stakeholder goals

Job Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of project management processes, tools and techniques such as: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and completing projects, phases or contracts.

Skills

Detail oriented and ability to work with limited supervision and enjoy interaction with other staff. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Interpersonal Skills - A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with members, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and conflicting deadlines.

Education/Experience

Four year college degree with emphasis in business or equivalent professional experience

A minimum of 3 years experience in project management.

PMI education or certifications are a plus.

In the absence of a formal college degree, experience requirement is five years in a comparable position within a financial institution or closely related institution.

Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. Schedules are subject to change based on business need; applicant should be available to work during business hours.

This position will be at our downtown location until September, when our headquarters move to Quarry Lake (4515 Seton Center Parkway)
