Coding with Kids is hiring! We are looking for enthusiastic, fun, and tech-savvy instructors to teach coding to elementary and middle school students. We have opportunities at many local schools in the Greater Austin area including Cedar Park, Round Rock, Dripping Springs and throughout the Austin area.
About the role:
As an after-school instructor, you will lead students in one of our coding classes including: Little Coders, Game Development, Web Design, Robotics, Python, 3D Animation, Minecraft and more.
This is a part-time position with the opportunity to design your own schedule- you tell us how many days a week you would like to work!
Instructors must be available between 2:30 - 4:30 pm on the days they teach. Each class is about an hour long, plus paid prep time and follow up.
We provide extensive paid training, as well as a comprehensive curriculum, lesson plans, and activities.
Classes take place in local schools, therefore you need reliable transportation to travel to the schools.
The kind of person we are looking for:
Although we will train you on the curriculum, you need to have a high degree of comfort with computers, logging in, accessing websites and connecting to wifi.
We love instructors with experience leading groups of kids! Calling all teachers, babysitters, camp counselors, etc!
Reliability - The kids depend on you to show up so please be sure you can take on the 10-14 week class commitment.
Someone with a sense of humor and flexibility.
You should be polite and comfortable speaking with parents, students and school staff.
