Nest Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending all forms of child sexual exploitation and trafficking. Our work has evolved from the documentary film PLAYGROUND: The Child Sex Trade in America (directed by Libby Spears and produced by George Clooney, Grant Heslov, Steven Soderbergh, Abby Disney and Lauren Embrey).

Nest currently develops and implements prevention programming that engages youth, teachers, parents, and communities around the United States. Learn more: nestfoundation.org.

Nest is currently seeking two enthusiastic teacher trainers to conduct school-based prevention workshops for different groups of school personnel, including high school and elementary school teachers, school counselors, nurses, and resource officers. Trainers will be responsible for presenting existing materials and developing and presenting additional decks. Our primary markets are Texas, New York and California.

These are independent contractor positions and trainers will work on an as-needed basis.

The ideal candidate:

Is knowledgeable about sexual violence and trafficking in the United States and can speak confidently about root causes, systems of oppression, and other underlying dynamics that contribute to vulnerability to violence.

Is always learning and can translate new research, experiences, and information into compelling and informative presentations for a variety of audiences.

Is fully versed in creating and presenting materials in strengths-based and trauma-informed ways.

Is an engaging and dynamic presenter/public speaker.

Is perceptive and sensitive to group dynamics and able to respond to participant feedback and questions.

Can work independently and can handle tight deadlines with confidence.

Is highly organized and able to setup training rooms with signup sheets, name tags and other materials as well as administer participant evaluations and maintain accurate workshop statistics.

Has facility with technology and is comfortable connecting to a/v outlets in a variety of settings.

Can travel to various cities to deliver training; travel is essential.

Can help to develop on-line trainings.

Possesses strong writing skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required

3-5 years as a presenter

Work experience in fields related to child protection/child rights, advocacy, teaching and or child sexual violence prevention.
