Technical Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or relevant industry experience
Ability to code in any language using any technology stack through self-teaching
SQL and NoSQL database technologies
AWS (preferred) or Google Cloud Platform, or Azure services and solution architectures
REST API design and microservice implementation
Object-oriented design including common patterns
Distributed systems
Docker, Kubernetes, and other container technologies

Past Experience

10+ years of experience in software development for midsize to large corporations
5+ years of working experience as a solution or technical architect

Top 5 Must Haves:

Demonstrated experience establishing a product or capability's "target state" architecture and establishing a technical roadmap for getting there

Experience architecting solutions on AWS, especially those that leverage AWS PaaS and Serverless services

Comfortable advocating for architecture technical roadmap work with product and engineering partners

Servant leader who embraces the enabling role architecture plays in delivering customer value

Ability to establish collaborative, positive, mutually beneficial relationships with peers in architecture, engineering and product
